Paradise Valley is flat out gorgeous. The mighty Kings River flows thunderously through, the stunning views, the ponderosa pines, oaks and cedars, and the aptly named Mist Falls all create a place that lives up to its name. There are black bears, rattlesnakes, other kinds of snakes, lizards of all kinds. It might not be as well known as the other parks in California, but its deeper canyon actually creates a deep sense of drama. The lack of crowd gives a sense of being completely immersed in the wilderness. Here are some pictures of the hike over 2 days and 28 kilometers.
